Project 23 – Week 1

I played the game Plague Inc by Ndemic Creations. I downloaded it on my iPad and played through a couple of different modes until I beat it. You choose a type of pathogen that you evolve in order to spread and your goal as “wiping out humanity.” You are put in a hyper realistic setting of the world we live in today and you play among those limitations. You evolve by earning points that you gain by spreading and killing people. You learn about how the world reacts to a pathogen spreading and you play against the government as they try to contain you. You finish the game by either winning and completing your objective or losing by being unable to spread further as you are dealt with a cure. You learn much about geography and biology as you use relevant information to be able to win the game. I found this game to be very engaging.
